| Subsidy Scan Weeks 2010 started |

For the third time FIER organises the "Subsidy Scan Weeks" in which our experienced subsidy consultants will visit many automotive companies to screen their activities and plans and match them with availble subsidy monies. This year the subsidy scan meetings will take place from 3-21 May 2010.
In a meeting of an hour, free of charge, our consultants can provide you with all the subsidy possibilities matching your companies' activities and plans.

| Governments sign Joint Statement for Indo-Dutch cooperation in automotive |

A very important first step was made in the cooperation of the Dutch and Indian automotive industry. Initiated within the framework of the 2getthere automotive India program, coordinated by FIER Automotive in order of NL EVD Internationaal, a meeting was held on the 6th of April 2010, in New Delhi, between an Indian delegation, led by Shri Ambuj Sharma, Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry and the delegation of the Kingdom of The Netherlands led by Mr Marten van den Berg, Deputy Director General of Foreign Economic Relations for building upon the excellent relations for strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.
The broad areas of possible cooperation between the two countries identified as being promising include areas relating to joint research, development and testing of new technologies (eg. power trains, safety and materials) as well as management of the vehicle chain and education and training of people.
It was agreed that in the next months exact areas will be defined as well as concrete cooperation projects and the possible institution of Joint Working Groups.

| FIER Automotive successfully organized 2 International OEM Purchase events in Turkey |
| |
On behalf of Taysad (Association for the Turkish automotive supplier industry) & OIB (Exporters Union for the Turkish automotive), FIER organized 2 business development events in Turkey in December 2009 and March 2010.
The aim of the events was to inform International automotive OEM’s about the competences and opportunities of the Turkish automotive industry. The program existed of tailor-made company visits and B2B matchmaking events. The business programs were successful for all involved companies. In total 10 international OEM’s and 110 Turkish companies have participated. Taysad, OIB and FIER are planning to organize more business events in Turkey together.

| Successful automotive mission to Germany and Austria |
| |
FIER Automotive and the Automotive Technology Centre organised a successful automotive innovation mission to South-Germany and North-Austria in December 2009. This mission was organised on behalf of NL EVD Internationaal (an agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of The Netherlands). The aim of the mission was to promote the Dutch automotive competences, to establish partnerships for product development and to setup trade relations. 15 Dutch companies participated in this mission.

| |
| Through the 2g@there programme, FIER and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs support companies that intend to join forces in their international business dealings. 2g@there focuses on areas in which Dutch businesses can compete internationally, that is, in an emerging market or a promising sector. The automotive industry is identified as a sector in which Dutch businesses are powerful innovators. Together with the Dutch Agency for International Business and Cooperation (EVD) FIER has developed a program to support the Dutch automotive industry in their plans to focus on India for import, export and R&D. |

| Opening of Automotive House |

On June 3rd, Maria van der Hoeven, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, officially opened the Automotive House and HighTech Automotive Campus in Helmond, The Netherlands.
FIER Automotive is proud te be one of the residents of the automotive house. The High Tech Automotive Campus (HTACampus) in Helmond (Brainport region) is a challenging and inspiring environment where automotive knowledge and business come together. It provides a home for automotive companies, automotive education institutes as well as public and private research centres, laboratories and test facilities in a spirit of cooperation, knowledge sharing and open innovation. | Automotive mission to Turkey results in business! |
| |
| FIER Automotive organized an automotive trade mission to Turkey in November 2008. Several OEM manufacturers have been visited as well as manufacturers of car, bus, truck and trailer components in Turkey. The mission was very successful and it resulted in concrete leads for the participants. As follow-up FIER organises an incoming mission from Turkey to the Netherlands in the first half of 2009. |

The online portal for the Dutch automotive industry has been renewed! The website contains different databases with information about the Dutch automotive industry. The databases are acessible free-of-charge and contain info about Dutch automotive companies, test facilities, educations, news, events and publicaitons.

| Prins start with joint-venture in India after joining trade mission |

Prins Alternative Fuel Systems has set up a joint venture with Indian company Best Group. The new company is called Best-Prins ECO Systems.
This joint venture is a direct result of the participation of Prins in the automotive Trade Mission to India which took place in India and was organised by FIER Automotive.
