• ATC Automotive Congress & Matchmaking
  On Wednesday 25th of October the Automotive Technology Centre (ATC) organises the 4th edition of its yearly congress for the entire Dutch and international automotive sector in the ‘Evoluon’ premises in Eindhoven. The ATC congress is a yearly repeating event which gained national acquaintance and attracted a lot of automotive professionals throughout the years. The congress consists of the following activities; all free-of-charge:
  
  
  • Congress on the topic off “Design & Techology in Automotive”
    Within this theme the ATC will demonstrate the different ways in which technology offers new possibilities for design. On this subject ATC will focus on technical suppliers. Speakers from renown automotive OEM’s and Suppliers all over Europe will share their views on the topic with you.

  • International Automotive Meet&Match
    Between 9.30 and 12.30 a unique international matchmaking event for buyers and subcontractors in the automotive manufacturing industry will take place. With the support of Europe Innova; Co-makers.com, FIER and ATC cooperate to bring companies together for acceleration of innovation in the automotive supply chain. Six short and efficient meetings of 20 minutes enable you and the company you meet with to find out common interests, mutual benefits of cooperation and organise a possible follow up meeting. The Meet&Match formula creates the opportunity for companies to examine each other’s profiles beforehand. This allows you to examine the chances for a “successful match” with the other participants.   In 2005 over 80 companies attended the meet&match. This year we expect even more companies. Most of the important companies in The Netherlands will be available for conversations. Register today, the number of participating companies is limited!

  • ATC Exposition 2006
    This year companies have the possibility to present themselves at the ATC Congress. On the ATC Exposition 2006 a wide variety of parties will present their automotive products and services. From 10:00 in the morning till 18:00 you will be able to visit the stands of the companies and institutions.
    
    
  • Theme Exhibition “Design on Wheels”
    The ATC Congress takes place in the middle of the Dutch Design week from 21st till 29th October 2006. This week Eindhoven is sparkling of activities related to “Design”, such as the presentation of the Dutch Design Awards, the Graduation Show of the Design Academy and a variety of exhibitions and happenings throughout the city. During the Dutch Design Week the ATC itself organizes the thematic exhibition “Design on Wheels”, about new, Dutch, automotive design in the Evoluon. Emphasis is on innovative products in which design (or smart engineering) is a clear value-adding factor. The show will only exhibit real new products, concepts or ideas. The ‘Design On Wheels’ show is open throughout the day and entry is free for all.

     

• Company visits
  On Thursday (October 26th) several leading automotive companies in the region will be visited. We will for example visit the automotive city of Helmond, one of the key areas of the automotive industry in The Netherlands. Within a day’s time you will get an insight in some of The Netherlands’ highly innovative automotive companies, this is the opportunity to meet some of the most important automotive players in The Netherlands. Your chance to discover state-of-the-art technology on the fields of intelligent vehicles, vehicle safety, vehicle simulation, engineering, innovative concepts and power trains! 

• TNO Automotive:
  Main institute for applied automotive research is TNO Automotive. It can be divided in 4 fields:
  
  
• ACTS (Advanced Chassis and Transport Systems): Main theme is Active safety. èVisit includes the state-of-the-art vehicle testing laboratory for vehicle dynamics and control VEHIL!
• Safety: Activities are related to Passive safety. For example airbags, seatbelts etc. TNO also has a large Crash Test facility in which more complicated crash tests are being designed, executed and analysed.
• Power trains: Development and testing of power trains on the following fields: Emissions, Diesel after-care, Gas engines (hybrid and fuel cell)
• Homologation: Testing of components in order to gain type-approval
  

TNO Automotive is changing the landscape. A patented hardware-in-the-loop intelligent vehicle test facility, (VEHIL: Vehicle Hardware-In-the-Loop) aims to make the development and test of intelligent vehicles safer, cheaper and more manageable. VEHIL offers an efficient way of developing and testing complex intelligent vehicle and transport systems.

  The runner-up of the European Truck industry invites you to visit their plant to see their latest innovations! • NETRAS Mobile Systems:
  NETRAS Mobile Systems BV offers solutions for the specific problems in the field of urban transport and other forms of retail distribution. • APTS - Phileas:
  Developed by APTS (Advanced Public Transport Systems); Phileas is a new concept for comfortable passenger transport on high frequency dedicated bus lanes. Running on a free bus lane which is fitted with magnetic markers for electronic lane assistance and precision docking, Phileas offers all the advantages of rail transport. The Phileas has a hybrid electric propulsion, a large transport capacity and precision docking, which makes it possible for passengers to quickly enter and exit the vehicle, thus limiting stop times and keeping the average speed as high as possible.
